Summer in the City

No Comments 16 July 2002

Hi Everyone,

As Martha would say: “Summer’s here and the time is right for dancin’ in
the streets - Philadelphia, PA.”

4 Way Street plays two outdoor shindigs (the Vandellas probably sang on ‘Shindig’ back in the day) this week to
help you fulfill Martha’s prophecy.

This Thursday (7.18.02) we’re in Manayunk for the Music on Main Music Series at 7p. We”l be playing at the corner of Main and Levering Streets. The heat index is supposed to be about 105 degrees, so come watch what we do to stay slim instead of going to Jenny Craig. We’re particularly sexy when we sweat.

Then Saturday (7.20.02), we’re very pleased to be playing the WXPN Singer/Songwriter Festival at Penn’s Landing. We start at 3p. There’s a lot of great folks on the bill and the big stage allows us to do our choreography (we have the same choreographer as O-Town, we can’t afford N’Sync’s choreographer yet).

And a final reminder - I’ll be playing a solo show tonight at CB’s Gallery in NYC at 9p. Richard Hell and the Voidoids open. OK, I lied about that Richard Hell bit - it just seemed like a very CB’s kinda thing to write. I’m sorry.

The Recap:

Mick would like me to add: Summer’s here and the time is right for
fighting in the streets. He was always such a troublemaker.

Peace (in the streets) (Power 99 paid me to put that in)

Going to Gotham

No Comments 10 July 2002

Hi Everybody,

Commissioner Gordon has turned on the Bat Signal, so I’ll be making a
couple of appearances in Gotham (that’s New York City, for those of you
who are Batman lingo challenged).

TONIGHT (7.10.02), 4 Way Street takes on Bleeker Street as we descend
into the Bitter End. We go on at 8p SHARP, so be there early so you
don’t cut yourself. Come see us perform in the exact spot where Bob
Dylan made Phil Ochs cry.

Then, next Tuesday (7.16.02) I return to NYC for a solo show at CB’s 313
Gallery. I hit the stage at 9p and I’ll play immediately after that if I
haven’t broken my hand. Come watch me perform approximately 37 feet from
the exact spot where Debbie Harry made Lester Bangs, um, let’s say very
excited.

The Recap:
Wednesday, 7.10.02 : 8p sharp (Ouch!)
