WXPN Artist to Watch / Tower In-store

30 April 2005

Hi Folks,
Well, this is the week - ‘Safe in Sound’ hits the stores this Tuesday, 5.3.05. There’s been a lot going on in anticipation of the release. Here’s some of the latest happenings:
WXPN ‘ARTIST TO WATCH’ FOR MAY:
WXPN in Philadelphia has named me their ‘Artist to Watch’ for May. This is a really big deal, because they’ll be spotlighting the album all month long. David Dye kicks it off this Monday, 5.2.05 in the 4p hour. You can learn more about it by clicking below:

In other WXPN news, I’ll be dropping in on Helen Leicht the morning of the record release - Tuesday, 5.3.05. I’ll be on in the 10a hour yakking, strumming and crooning.

The people at XPN have been supportive of me for a long time and I’m so thankful they’ve decided to get behind the new record in such a big way.
TOWER RECORDS PHILADELPHIA IN-STORE APPEARANCE - TUESDAY, 5.3.05 AT 1P:
I’ll be playing an afternoon acoustic set at Tower Records in Philadelphia on Tuesday, 5.3.05 at 1p to kick-off the release of ‘Safe in Sound’. Tower Records is located at?100 South Broad Street. Come out and spend your lunch hour with me. Oh, I think you can buy the album while you’re there. too.
STEPH HAYES AND SUSAN ROSETTI TO OPEN THE WORLD CAFE LIVE RECORD RELEASE PARTY ON 5.4.05:
Now it’s a party! I’m extremely happy to announce that Steph Hayes and Susan Rosetti, who, until 8 days ago were one-half of the amazing Stargazer Lily, have agreed to come play an acoustic set to open up the Philadelphia Record Release Party at World Cafe Live on Wednesday, 5.4.05. Plan on getting there early and hearing two of Philadelphia’s finest songwriters.
Oh yeah, then stick around as me and my ragtag squad of musicians rock out on a bunch of songs from ‘Safe in Sound’ and maybe even one or three of the old-time hits from way back at the turn of the century. The band is sounding scary good, so tell your friends.
RADIO, RADIO:
‘Live the Proof’ “went to radio” as they say this week and is currently being played by about 35 or 40 stations. We’re trying to get a list together, but in the meantime why not call your favorite station and request it? It will make you feel good about yourself to be helping society by causing good music to flow through the airwaves AND all that dialing keeps your fingers looking slim and young. “You’re 30? Why, your hands don’t look a day over 23!!” See how good that felt?
