WXPN’s ‘ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC’ FESTIVAL – SATURDAY, 7.23.05 – 3p:
This weekend WXPN is throwing their annual shindig, and this year they’ve re-named after my life beginning when I was four years old:
All About the Music
They were kind enough to ask me to play and to bring along the boys in the band (Mike Frank – Keys, Roger Cox – Drums, Pete Donnelly – Bass, Ron Jennings – Guitar). And even after finding out that “All About the Music” was not only the name of the festival, but also a euphemism for “you’re not getting paid”, we’re still itching to do it, because:
* Outdoor festivals are a great opportunity to turn my amp up past its indoor setting of 4.
* No walls to reflect sound helps to achieve the dry, ‘Revolver” sound I love so much.
* Sweating onstage helps me shed pounds and maintain my hourglass figure.
* I love playing with this band.
* WXPN ben berry berry gud to mee.
Hope to see a whole bunch of you there, posing as small colored dots in front of my failing eyes. We hit the main stage at 3p and play until we’re finished, ‘cuz it’s . . .?ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC.

APPEARANCE ON ‘CN8 THIS MORNING’ IN PHILADELPHIA – FRIDAY, 7.22.05 – 9a:
As a promo for WXPN’s All About the Music Festival, I’ll be appearing with XPN’s Michaela Majoun on ‘CN8 This Morning’ on Friday, 7.22.05 at 9a (they tell me that’s in the morning).
I just bought a new pair of rabbit ears for my telly (no really, I did) – so I don’t know nuthin’ ’bout no cable TV. They tell me there’s more than 4 channels now, and the CN8 is one of them. I don’t know how you get it, or where you “tune in”, as all the kids say now, but if you have cable, these things are probably self-evident.
It is always entertaining to see a musician attempt to perform in the morning. Worth tuning in just for that.

WBJB’s SONGWRITER’S IN THE PARK SERIES – WEDNESDAY, 7.27.05 – 7p?
I just came across a bootleg of some early Chicago demos. It was kinda spooky when I heard the original version:
in the Park (wee-doo)
I think it was the twenty seventh of July.
After hearing that I was so freaked out, but in a really good way.?
Wow, I think I’ve out insided myself. For a diagram of the above paragraph and why it could potentially be considered funny, or at least clever, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to? . . . ah, never mind.
Anyway, a solo acoustic show for a great station spreading the Boggia gospel.?
Wednesday, 7.27.05 – 7p
WBJB’s ‘SONGWRITERS IN THE PARK’ CONCERT SERIES

By the way, “wee-doo” was supposed to signify the horn part.
NEW AT JIMBOGGIA.COM – THE BLOG BECOMES A VLOG
(Translation: VIDEOS ON THE WEBSITE – CHECK THE ‘I SPOUT OFF’ PAGE):
If you have no idea what the above title means, don’t sweat it – two days ago I was in the same boat. “Vlog” is the latest in the never ending stream of new terms to learn thanks to our friend, Technology. And while a lot of times Technology is like the friend you have who is great to be around until about the fourth drink, at which point he becomes unbearable and tries to steal your girlfriend all while hitting you up for 20 bucks, this time Technology is like our old friend from college who comes to tell you that he has an incurable disease, but he also got out of the NASDAQ just before the bubble burst and he’s decided to leave you the majority of his vast wealth as a way of making up for that time back in college when he got drunk, became unbearable, stole your girlfriend and borrowed 20 bucks from you that he never paid back.
Or something like that.
Vlogging is video blogging. If you’re not sure what blogging is, he’s like your Cousin Louie who . . . look man, Google “blogging” if you don’t know, I’m not teaching a class.
Anyway, for those of you who’ve ever wondered “what happens to all that video I see Mary shooting all the time?”, the answerer is: It sits in a drawer waiting for somebody to invent vlogging. Since that part is now covered, it gets put up on my website as blog (excuse me, vlog) entries for everyone to enjoy.
First installment is a clip from the very last show at The Point – an impromptu version of ‘Helter Skelter’ that was pretty on the mark.

Can Boggia Podcasts be far behind?
Actually, no. But check out the video first.
