CLUB CAFE – PITTSBURGH, PA – FRIDAY, 8.5.05 – 7p
I’ll be playing a headlining slot at Club Cafe in Pittsburgh on Friday, 8.5.05 at 7p. Pittsburgh is one of those cities on the cusp for me – I’ve got a bit of a toehold, but I still need to find a way to build up my audience. So, feel free to spread this list of facts with anyone you know in Pittsburgh:
* My favorite actor portraying Batman in feature films? Michael Keaton.
* I once traded two Mickey Stanley’s and a Catfish Hunter to get one Roberto Clemente.
* I’ve always felt good in buildings made with steel girders.
* I think the pianist on Mister Rogers Neighborhood is a genius.
If they’re still on the fence, you can mention that I hate Cleveland*.

SEVENTH INNING STRETCH – PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES – SUNDAY, 8.7.05 – 1:35p
Baseball ben berry, berry gud to mee. Helen Leicht of WXPN has worked out this incredibly cool situation where I get to play “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” at the Phladelphia Phillies game on Sunday, 8.7.05.?
I’ve worked up a guitar version of Paul Richardson’s (the official organist of the Phillies) arrangement and I’ll be playing atop the 3rd base dugout during the seventh inning stretch. I can’t wait to hear everyone singing along.
You can be part of the crowd mentioned in the second line of the aforementioned waltz by getting tickets – consider seats on the third base side – at?www.philadelphiaphillies.com
There’s a discount for XPN members, check out www.xpn.org for details.
I’ll also be playing a set AFTER THE GAME at McFadden’s (at the third base entrance), so stop in and say hello.
A big thanks to WXPN and Helen Leicht for arranging this.?
