Jetting in and jetting out for a quick one in LA. I’m hoping to see all the new folks who signed up last month at the Troubadour when I played with Duncan Sheik.?
In some ways, this will be even better than the Troubadour show because a) you get to sit down (if you’re early) and b) tickets are cheaper. Okay, now the downside - no Duncan. I was gonna tell you that Duncan would make an appearance at the show, and then do some lame bit with a yo-yo once I got you all there, but that would be wrong. And not really funny enough to justify the wrongness, which is more the reason why I’m not doing it.
All of you who are longtime LA supporters, come out and make some new friends. Longtime supporters looking to hook up are encouraged to try the following pickup line: “Hey, you’re cute. By any chance do you like Duncan Sheik?” They’ll be putty in your hands.

New Jersey has a new smoking ban. Cafe Arabica is a hookah bar. Confused? Me too, so I’m gonna go there to find out what’s going on. The place looks great in the photos on the website and Robert Matarazzo and our good friend Jason Loughlin have residencies there, so you gotta figure the place is pretty cool.
No, the hookahs are tobacco only. Geez, some people.
