SXSW and ‘Fidelity’ back in stock.

SXSW APPEARANCE – ATXtreme AT CAFE?CAFFEINE – FRIDAY, 3.16.07 – 6P: Getting ready to throwdown at the hoedown. I’m making my first trip to South by Southwest Music Conference (which really is South by Southwest for me – I think people coming from, say, Los Angeles should have to play at the South by SouthEAST conference and stop screwing it up for those of us who know our geography) and playing only my second show in Austin – the bluest city in the reddest state (I’m trying to work in Purple Mountain’s Majesty, but I’m not coming up with much).? I played Austin last year opening for Duncan Sheik and it was my best show of the tour – Austin, you guys are a great audience. I hope a lot of the folks I met last year will come out again. I know there’s a lot going on, but I’d love it if you’d check out my set and bring along some new converts. TO MY MUSICIAN FRIENDS (Yes, I have friends) – Let me know if you’re going to be down there. Specifically: Are you playing? – I wanna come see you.? Need some harmonies?? – I’ll be in good voice. Wanna sing some on my set? – I’ll make lyric sheets.? Are you an Austin native studio genius recluse who never plays live (I’m talking to you, Andrea)? – Let’s meet in a secret location.? Do you know where the free alcohol is? – You’re my Austin Best Friend. I’m really excited to be going and playing. This, coupled with the early arrival of Daylight Savings is putting a pre-mature end to my seasonal depression – so let’s play something upbeat and peppy for the kids. The Recap:

IT’S BACK (LIKE IT NEVER EVEN LEFT) – FIDELITY IS STILL THE ENEMY: I get a lot of emails from folks asking where they can get a copy of my first album ‘Fidelity is the Enemy’ (hailed as “one of the great masterworks in any artistic medium” by a guy named Gustav who himself has been hailed as “one of the most easily entertained generators of hyperbolic overstatement in any pre-Web 2.0 blog”). I’m happy to say that a recent archeological effort has unearthed some additional copies (I moved the bed) and we’re passing the savings onto you (it’s actually space that I’m saving, but whatever). CDBaby has copies on sale now. Buy a copy today and experience Derek Sivers (CD Baby owner) outpouring of love (He Loves You).? Buy it here. Peace,
Jim
