SATURDAY - 11.22.08 - 11P - ELECTRIC COMPANY - UTICA, NY:

Kennedy had his Dallas, I have Utica, NY.?I’ve never played Utica, NY.?I don’t know a soul in Utica, NY. I don’t know anyone within a 100 mile radius of Utica, NY. There are no other acts on the bill. This is a full band show. Do the math.?

PLEASE HELP - Kennedy had his Jim Garrison, I have you, my faithful fans. Do YOU know anyone within a 100 mile radius of Utica, NY? PLEASE send them out. They can open the show for all I care. All I know is it’s 5 and a half hours to Utica, NY, which is 11 hours round trip. Do the math.

I’d love to play to at least 1 person for each hour on the road and each person in the band (it’s a four piece). Do the math*.

Despite where we’re playing, Rita Moreno, Morgan Freeman AND Spiderman have all sent their regrets and will NOT be able to attend. But, Rita and Morgan did send this along:

Rita: M
Morgan: T
Rita and Morgan: Empty

Hey, that’s not nice, and I’m not even sure that’s proper phonics. But they do have a point. Please help spread the word.?

The Recap:
Saturday, 11.22.08 - 11p
JIM BOGGIA (full band)
The Electric Company
700 Varick Street - Utica, NY

$5. 21+. No opener. No Rita Moreno. No Morgan Freeman. No Spiderman (unless there’s an incident with a nefarious underworld crime syndicate, but you can’t predict those kinds of things, though I was watching Fox News the other day and they seem to think it will be much more likely during an Obama administration).

WEDNESDAY, 11.26.08 - 8P - STEEL CITY - PHOENIXVILLE, PA:

Kennedy had his Camelot, I have Steel City. Always warm, always friendly, always sold out. A 100 to 1 audience to performer ratio. I did the math for you.

A pre-Thanksgiving throwdown and the last gig of the year for me. Let’s share it together in the spirit of the settlers and the Indians before we took their land.

Opening up the show (yes, there’s even an opener, take THAT Spideman!) are my friends Kaiser-Cartel. I don’t just like them because they’re my labelmates (no, really, that’s not it), and I STILL like them even though they live in Brooklyn (it happens). Make sure to get there early so you can be their friends, too (I can’t really make any promises about you becoming their labelmates, but you COULD move to Brooklyn, if you were into that kind of thing, it’s kinda expensive though and the Phillies did kick the Mets’ asses*).

The Recap:
Wednesday, 11.26.08 - 8p
JIM BOGGIA
Steel City
203 Bridge Street - Phoenixville, PA
610.933.4043

$18 Adv. / $20 DoS. ALL-AGES. Kaiser-Cartel open.

* sorry Jack, I’ve had three drinks and I got on a roll and I couldn’t stop (but, you know, we DID kick the Mets’ asses).

SATURDAY, 11.15.08 - 7:30P - MEDIA THEATRE - MEDIA, PA:

This is a reminder, which is why when you read it you will say “this sounds familiar.” Please come on out and help the cause.?

Concert for Critters? Isn’t that what happens every time I play music at home and my 5 cats listen in? Okay, 4 - Elvis always runs away. I would be lying if I told you this didn’t hurt my feelings.

Oh, I see - this is a show to raise money for the Delaware Valley SPCA, which helps critters. The concert itself appears to actually be for PEOPLE (I have sat here for 5 minutes attempting to work in a ‘Soylent Green’ reference, to no avail).

I’m bringing the full band for this one. We don’t get out much, we’re often confused for JD Salinger, so you should probably take this opportunity to have something to tell your grandkids (which you can do when you get home from the show). Bill Deasey kicks off the show and he’s damn good.

Come help the cause for those with the paws.

The Recap:
Saturday, 11.15.08 - 7:30p
CONCERT FOR CRITTERS
The Media Theatre
104 East State Street - Media, PA
610.891.0100

$20. ALL-AGES.

With Bill Deasey. Proceeds benefit the Delaware County SPCA.?

SUNDAY, 11.16.08 - 3P - CONCERTS IN THE STUDIO - FREEHOLD, NEW JERSEY:

A Concert IN the studio? Has the plight of recorded music become so bad that now people won’t buy recorded music but will pay to WATCH you record music? Well, apparently, no - it’s not THAT kind of studio (though I think I’ve just figured out how to finance my next album).

Concerts in the Studio is a series of shows put on in a photography studio, which will give you something better to look at than my ugly mug while I play some tunes. This will be a particularly good thing considering the show is at 3 in the afternoon and you really don’t want to look at musicians in the daytime.

The Recap:
Sunday, 11.16.08 - 3p
JIM BOGGIA
Concerts in the Studio
3 Jackson Terrace, Freehold, NJ

$15. ALL-AGES. Doors at 2:30p.
