Back from the UK, Japan Here I Come

I write this from the small window of time back in the States between returning from my tour of the UK and leaving for my tour in Japan. Besides catching up on laundry, spending time with my cats and even getting a couple of days to actually see my love, I’ve played four shows and have been cramming my head full of White Album guitar, bass, keyboard, drum and vocal parts (the reason why later in the email) since I’ve been back. The UK could not have gone better. I want to give a huge thanks to everyone who came to the shows, hosted me in their homes, had me on sessions, took me to movies, made me Sunday Roasts (even the ones not on Sundays) and as well to everyone in the States who sent messages of support through Facebook and Twitter. I always, always love going to the UK, but this trip was particularly special. If you want to re-live some memories, I’ve made a collection of photos on Flickr that you can see here. There’s also this very nice review of my show at The Borderline in London with Tracy Bonham and Bleu. Finally, I’ve included a few videos at the bottom of this emailer. As good as it’s been, it still getting better, which brings me to . . . JAPAN TOUR 2010 11.27.10 – 12.05.10 I can’t believe the string of “oh my God, I get to do WHAT?” moments that have lining up these past few months, including playing Radio City Music Hall with the Fab Faux and a fantastic month playing shows in the UK. I’m sure I don’t deserve another, but this one may just take the prize: my first tour of Japan (and, for that matter, my first trip to Japan, period). 8 shows in 10 days, 7 different cities – even writing this with it only days away it doesn’t seem real. Needless to say, if you know anyone over there, please have them come out. Here’s the details: Saturday, 11.27.10 – 7p JIM BOGGIA LaCana Daini-Kumazaki Bldg. Hi Jun, Thanks for writing. Yes, I got back late Monday night after 22 hours of travelling. Thank you for coming out to La Cana and helping to make my first show ever in Japan so memorable for me. I LOVED Japan and the audiences there and I will definitely come back.
