THOMAS ALLEN’S ‘EPILOGUE’ AT FOLEY GALLERY IN NYC THROUGH OCTOBER 10TH

(Kevin - This is the photo link for this section: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3070/2672829370_2eeafccf1c_m.jpg)
For those of you who will still be Stateside this month, I’m very happy to pass along the following news.

Thomas Allen, the photographer who shot the cover photo I love so much for Misadventures in Stereo, has a show of his photography at the Foley Gallery in NYC going on now through October 10th. It was seeing photos from his last show at Foley that made me want to work with him. If you are around, I encourage you to go.

Here’s a link to an article about the show with all the info.

WEDNESDAY, 6.17.09 - 7P
NARBERTH SUMMER CONCERTS IN THE PARK ‘09
NARBERTH, PA

Great things about Summer: 1. End of Winter. 2. End of Winter Depression. 3. The return of the Mr. Softee truck that drives around my neighborhood STARTING at 10p every night. 4. The Phillies. 5. Outdoor concerts! (Not necessarily in that order.)

Bring the blanket, bring the kids, I’m playing my first outdoor show of the Summer this coming Wednesday, 6.17.09 at 8p in the lovely little borough of Narberth - a village surrounded on all sides by Ardmore and yet they still haven’t surrendered.

The Recap:

FRIDAY, 6.19.09 - 8P
KENNETT FLASH
KENNETT SQUARE, PA

Been hearing good things about this place and I’m excited to finally get a chance to play there. In honor of the name of the venue, no one but the pure at heart may . . . attend this show.*

Kennett Flash

Buy Tix

$15 Adv. / $18 DoS. All Ages. BYOB ($4 per person). Lori Citro opens.

* That’s a lyrical reference. It is NOT meant to be taken literally. All of my fans with less than pure hearts may attend, as well as those with loose morals, drinking problems, outstanding bench warrants or affiliations with radical political groups (yes, Republicans can come, too).

SATURDAY, 6.20.09 - 8P
HILLSIDE CAFE
NUTLEY, NJ

I had to look it up on the map, but this is “New York Jersey”, not “Philadelphia Jersey”. So, for those of you in New York City who do the traditional “I gotta get the %@#* out of the city this weekend” summer shuffle . . . why not spend a Saturday night taking in the sights and sounds of Nutley, NJ? I And those of you in the “New York Jersey” area who DON’T like the hassle of going into the city for a show will, I hope, come on out.

The Recap:
Saturday, 6.20.09 - 8p

45 Hillside Crescent - Nutley, NJ

Boogia: THIS WEEKEND

FRIDAY, 5.29.09 - 8P - SPLIT LEVEL HOUSE CONCERT SERIES - SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ:

House concerts are always some of the best shows. Intimate, casual, great interaction with the crowd and food. The folks who run the Split Level Concert Series have been doing it for about 8 years, so you know they’ve got it down.

There are VERY FEW tickets left for this, as seating is strictly limited. Hit them at akpr@comcast.net for a reservation.

The Recap:
Friday, 5.29.09 - 8p
JIM BOGGIA
Split Level House Concert Series
2071 Algonquin Drive - Scotch Plains, NJ

$20. All ages. Pot Luck at 8:00, music starts at 8:45. E-Mail for tickets at akpr@comcast.net

SATURDAY, 5.30.09 - 8P - THE NIGHT CAT - EASTON, MD:

I played this place about a year ago when they just started doing music and they were still called CoffeeEast and I was really impressed with what they had going in such a short time. Good sound, cool vibe and they even had what we in the biz call an “audience”. Can’t wait to see how it’s blossomed in the last year.

The Recap:
Saturday, 5.30.09 - 8p
JIM BOGGIA
The Night Cat
5 Goldsborough Street - Easton, MD

$12. All ages. Get tickets at tickets.zooptix.com
