4WS: It’s safe to go outside again!

No Comments 07 August 2002

Hi Everyone,

Having just seen the movie ‘Signs’, I have to ask this question:
What kind of person are you? Are you the kind that thinks that
this break in the heat happening just as 4 Way Street are about
to make two outdoor appearances is juck luck, a coincidence?
Or, do you believe that there are no coincidences. That surely
this must be a sign from some benevolent force that 4 Way
Street and its minions of fans are being watched over and
protected from the otherwise merciless and oppressive heat?

Well, either way, come celebrate this beautiful break in the heat
with not one, but two 4 Way Street outdoor performances.
Wednesday night, we’re at Pennypack Park in Philadelphia.
Show starts at 7:30p. Thursday night, we throw down for the
hometown at Gorgas Park in Roxborough. That one starts at 7p.

John Bolaris says it’s safe.

Summer in the City

No Comments 16 July 2002

Hi Everyone,

As Martha would say: Summer’s here and the time is right for dancin’ in
the streets - Philadelphia, PA. 4 Way Street plays two outdoor shindigs
(the Vandellas probably sang on Shindig back in the day) this week to
help you fulfill Martha;s prophecy.
This Thursday (7.18.02) we’re in Manayunk for the Music on Main Music
Series at 7p. We”l be playing at the corner of Main and Levering
Streets. The heat index is supposed to be about 105 degrees, so come
watch what we do to stay slim instead of going to Jenny Craig. We’re
particularly sexy when we sweat.

Then Saturday (7.20.02), we’re very pleased to be playing the WXPN
Singer/Songwriter Festival at Penn’s Landing. We start at 3p. There’s a
lot of great folks on the bill and the big stage allows us to do our
choreography (we have the same choreographer as O-Town, we can’t afford
N’Sync’s choreographer yet).

And a final reminder - I’ll be playing a solo show tonight at CB’s
Gallery in NYC at 9p. Richard Hell and the Voidoids open. OK, I lied
about that Richard Hell bit - it just seemed like a very CB’s kinda
thing to write. I’m sorry.

The Recap:

Thursday, 7.18.02 - 7p
4 WAY STREET
Music on Main Series - Manayunk, PA
Main and Levering Streets

Saturday, 7.20.02 - 3p
4 WAY STREET
WXPN Singer/Songwriter Weekend
Penn’s Landing - Philadelphia, PA

Mick would like me to add: Summer’s here and the time is right for
fighting in the streets. He was always such a troublemaker.

Peace (in the streets) (Power 99 paid me to put that in)
Jim
